Christine first came to Pilates to help manage joint hypermobility, poor co-ordination and body idiosyncrasies. She’s been teaching since 2012 and is passionate about sharing holistic movement and wellness. Her education ranges from the biosciences to Pilates and yoga. Christine has experience in martial arts, somatics and nutrition, and is also a non-specific lower back pain specialist and meditation teacher.
Christine’s classes are a mix of diligent discipline, strength, fun and nurturing. She likes to create sessions that move more than just muscles. Some parts of her sessions have clients on their feet, to ensure that they reap the functional benefits from their other exercises.
Christine is interested in making Pilates accessible for everyone, especially people who are on the hypermobile spectrum, have spine and hip/leg pathologies, or neurodivergence. Client-centred, trauma informed practices and the notion that ‘a person is more than what we can see’ are at the heart of how Christine relates to her clients.
