New to pilates
Pilates was devised by Joseph Pilates whose influences included yoga and gymnastics. This powerful bodywork programme focuses on the core which in turns helps keep our spine protected – hence why Pilates is recommended by doctors globally as prevention and cure for chronic back ache.
We run regular Pilates beginners courses in both our studios – we look in detail at the way we use our bodies and how we can incorporate Pilates into our everyday lives and exercise plans. Once completed, students will be able to comfortably join regular Pilates classes at Down to Earth.
Whilst a Pilates beginners course is recommend you may choose to attend L1 classes instead.
Please wear comfortable clothes for your classes. You do not need to bring anything as we provide mats and props though you’re of course welcome to bring your own mat.
