Types Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage incorporates a variety of techniques to reach deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues to relieve physical tension and pain. The body is thoroughly manipulated, while pressure is concentrated on areas of tension to break down muscle adhesions. Pressure can be applied using fingers, knuckles, forearms and elbows. You may experience some discomfort during a treatment but it will be kept within manageable levels and your therapist will consult with you about the level of pressure used.

This treatment can benefit everyone, whether you simply want a firm, full-body massage, or you have a particularly tense body. It can help with symptoms of fatigue, pain, postural issues, repetitive strain injuries and reduced mobility or flexibility.

This treatment is not suitable during pregnancy, or following a recent acute injury or surgery.
