Born and raised in India, Aparna was introduced to yoga as a child and has been practising for decades, with a teaching practice dating back to 2019. Her teaching is rooted in traditional yoga, with a foundation in Hatha Yoga and studies with teachers across India, including Ashtanga Vinyasa with Ramesh Shetty in Mysore. Her continued education includes Samkhya philosophy with Ganesh Rao and Yoga Sutras with Rajni Pradhan through Kaivalyadhama University, as well as mudras with Indu Arora. She is also trained in trauma-informed yoga with Bhavana Kothari and is a trained sound facilitator.
Today, Aparna brings these traditional teachings into a modern, accessible practice. Her classes range from dynamic, mindful movement to pranayama, mantra and meditation, creating space to explore yoga beyond the physical while remaining grounded and approachable.
Whether you are completely new to yoga or looking to deepen your understanding beyond asana, Aparna’s classes offer a balance of tradition, curiosity and practical experience. For her, yoga is a path of self-inquiry, entering through the body and gradually turning inward.
