General info

  • We have plenty of mats for you to use although we always encourage people to bring their own. We offer a good range of  yoga mats for sale in our shop – talk to us about getting the best one for you.
  • Please arrive at least 5 mins before the start of the class or a massage.
  • We recommend not eating at least 2 hours before the start of your class.
  • Please wear comfortable clothing and expect to take your socks off in yoga classes.
  • We often have treatments at the same time as classes so we politely ask everyone to be mindful and keep the noise down. Mobiles phones should be switched off.
  • We have a shower and changing rooms. We don’t have lockers.

Payment

  • Payment for online bookings (classes, workshops and treatments) can be done through our secure payment system. We accept most major credit and debit cards (no Amex).

Classes

  • All our regular classes work on a drop-in basis.
  • We have limited capacity and we get full frequently so we advise you to book in advance to guarantee your place.
  • If you can’t make a class please cancel it (online) as you will then enable someone else to attend the class, especially during busy periods when we have waitlists. We have a £9 penalty charge for late cancellations.
  • Please be on time for your class. After class has started any spare spaces may be offered to drop-in students – even if you’ve booked and paid in advance. If you’re definitely coming but running late please call us.
  • Online class booking requires advance payment.

Class cancellations

  • Classes must be cancelled at least 5 hours before the start of the class. Customers who cancel more than 5 hours in advance will be given credit back onto their Momence account for the amount paid. Cancellations are not possible less than 5 hours before the start of the class and classes will be charged at full rate for such late cancellations. We are a small studio so if you can’t make a class please cancel it as someone else most likely wants to come.

Waiting lists

  • If a class or workshop is fully booked you can go onto the waiting list – it’s worth going on the waitlist as spaces do shift. You will then receive an automatic email if a space becomes available. If you are offered a place the 5 hour cancellation policy for classes applies. This includes early morning classes –  if you haven’t heard from us before going to bed and feel that you don’t want to chance being moved to a class early in the morning then please take yourself off the waitlist. You can be moved into a class up to 2 hours before the start of the class.

Class Passes

  • All class passes have an expiration date and are non-refundable.
  • Expired passes can be extended for £10 per month, no longer than 3 months after the original expiration date.
  • It is possible to transfer your classes to someone else if you are no longer able to use them – please talk to us about that.

Beginners Courses

  • Beginners’ courses must be pre-booked and paid for and they sell out quickly. You can book your spot online or at either of the studios.
  • Beginners Courses can be cancelled 14 days prior to their commencement at which point they can stay on your account at Down to Earth for future use. If a course is cancelled due to unforeseen medical circumstances you will be offered a refund or the option to transfer the booking to another beginners course.
  • It is possible to transfer your place to someone else – please talk to us about that.

Workshops

  • Workshops can be booked and paid for online or at the studio. Payment in full is required in advance.
  • We offer spaces on a first come first served basis.
  • Workshops can be cancelled at least 7 days prior to their commencement. After this no refunds will be given.  If a workshop is cancelled due to unforeseen medical circumstances you will be offered a refund or the option to transfer your booking to another workshop. If you cancel a workshop more than 7 days in advance for reasons other than medical conditions then this workshop can stay on your account at Down to Earth for future use.

Treatments

  • Treatments must be paid for upon booking.
  • We require 24 hours notice for cancellation. Missed treatment without the appropriate notice will be charged as if attended. Cancellations within the 24 hours prior to booked treatment will not be refunded.
  • Please call us on 020 7018 7657 to cancel your booking as cancellations cannot be accepted via email.
  • When you attend your first appointment you will be asked to provide your contact and card details and to fill in our consultation form.

Private 1-2-1 classes

  • Private classes must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. To arrange a private session please email us on [email protected]
  • Cancellations must be at least 24 hours prior to arranged time, after this point no refunds will be given.
  • Please call us on 020 7018 7657 to cancel or amend your booking. Cancellations cannot be accepted via email.

Concessions

  • Down to Earth is committed to being an inclusive community studio where all are welcome. Please speak to us if you have special requests or feel we could do something better to accommodate you.
  • Concession rates – 15% off class packs (only) – are for full time students, OAPs and unemployed (proof of unemployment and student status will be required).

Memberships

We offer a
  • In Studio and Online Membership (minimum 6 month contract) – £99. Cancellation fee of £100 will be applied if contract is cancelled before the 6 month expiry
  • No Contract Unlimited Daily In Studio and Online Membership – £125
  • There is a £9 charge for late cancellations or absence from classes in studio.

Shop Refunds

  • All goods are returnable and refundable within 7 working days as long as they are in their original packaging and you provide a valid receipt of purchase.

Fitness & Health

  • Clients are advised not to undertake yoga or Pilates without first seeking medical advice if they have concerns over their physical condition. We reserve the right to refuse access to any client if, in our absolute discretion, we consider the health of the individual concerned may be endangered by the use of such facilities.
  • It is the client’s responsibility to inform the teacher of each class they attend, and each therapist they see, if they any injuries or health conditions (including pregnancy, suspected pregnancy or childbirth within the preceding three months).

Liability Limitation

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure he/she is capable of undergoing the routine of exercises or postures provided by any programme which he/she follows or class which he/she attends. Clients accept the risk of injury and are advised to consult their doctor prior to beginning any session.
  • We accept no liability for loss or damage to property of clients or for injury to clients on the Studio premises or outside the Studio except insofar as such loss, damage or injury is by law incapable of exclusion.
  • Clients agree that neither they nor their heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claim of any kind against Down to Earth or any of its teachers, therapists or employees in respect of any loss or damage which they may suffer or incur at Down to Earth or as a result of attending a class or seeing a therapist at Down to Earth, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, save only to the extent that liability in respect of such loss or damage may not be excluded or limited by law.

Personal Belongings

  • Personal belongings are brought onto the Studio premises at the client’s own risk and we do not accept liability for any loss or damage whatsoever to such items.

General

  • Clients are required to give notice to us of any change of home address or email address. Failing such notice, all communications will be assumed to have been received by the Member within five days of mailing to the last address (of either type) notified to the Company.
  • We reserve the right to refuse admission to the Studio.

  • Obtain medical clearance from your health care practitioner prior to beginning the exercise programmes described on this site. The exercises described on this site are not suitable for everyone and are not a substitute for medical expertise. If done improperly, exercise has some risk of injury. If you feel discomfort or pain, DO NOT continue. We disclaim any liability or loss in connection with the exercises described herein.
