Anna is a truly dedicated teacher. After practicing Pilates for several years, the birth of her first daughter in 2010 inspired her to train to do something that she loved and she became a qualified matwork Pilates teacher. Anna believes in having a comprehensive knowledge in areas complimentary to her teaching and is also a personal trainer and holds qualifications in pre and post natal exercise and nutrition. As well as teaching group classes Anna works with a variety of individuals from desk bound office workers to dancers. Anna believes that Pilates will strengthen your mind and your body and can be adapted to suit everyone.
Emily is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor and a mental health counsellor. She trained as a yoga instructor in 1994 at the Integral Yoga Institute in Yogaville, Virginia and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work. She then embarked on a 9-year career as a clinical social worker in New York City, where she taught and practiced yoga in addition to working as a clinical social worker. She completed a two-year course on infant mental health and extended her practice to helping families with young children with a specialisation in families of children with autism. Since moving to London in 2009 and raising two young children she has focused on teaching and exploring the overlap that physical and behavioural practices share with emotional health and wellbeing. In 2011 she completed Triyoga’s Pregnancy Teacher Training, and in 2013 she completed Hypnobirthing Training with Katharine Graves. She is also a certified Stott Pilates teacher.
Todd has been teaching Pilates for over 10 years. The last 2 and a half years have been at prestigious studios in London that focus on both fitness and rehab based Pilates. Prior to that he had been teaching in San Francisco since 2007. In addition to working with clients on a 1 to 1 basis and teaching group classes he’s also worked with the Brentford Bees Championship League professional football club teaching Pilates Mat classes infused with vinyasa yoga movement. Todd was a featured presenter at the UK Pilates Conference in November of 2016 teaching chartered physiotherapists and Pilates instructors the application of yoga techniques within the Pilates realm.
Anna studied Pilates with Balanced Body (the largest Pilates organisation in the world) and regularly attends workshops to keep her teaching fresh and varied.
Anna was introduced to Pilates by a physiotherapist after having a knee and hip injury. Having experienced the benefits first hand not just to the injury, but also for posture, strength and alignment, Anna was hooked and went on to train. She truly believes it is an intelligent way to exercise which can benefit everyone. Her aim is to help students of all levels and abilities to become stronger and more confident in their own bodies so they move more freely and easily as well as look and feel better.
Jessica comes from a dance background and has been teaching Pilates since 2011. Her classes are focused on moving with consciousness, body awareness and understanding individual anatomy. Jessica is passionate about encouraging her clients to live healthy lifestyles and understand the benefits that exercise can bring. She believes that Pilates helps to be in control of your body to relax and handle stress more efficiently.
Clarisse trained in London and New York and is a certified Pilates Mat I and Mat II Instructor [Pilates Academy International within Pilates on Fifth in New York]. As a former professional dancer she has a keen awareness of the body, a great understanding of movement and a solid foundation on technique to ensure her students enjoy the workout in a safe environment. Clarisse teaches a dynamic Mat Pilates class based on a mindful approach to any level of experience. She will guide you to improve your strength and flexibility, giving you a space to connect with your own body.
Her teaching credits include Peridance Capezio Center (New York, USA), Atelier Corps et Mouvement (Geneva, CH), Pineapple (London, UK).
Professional dancer Isa-Welly toured the world with artists such as Kylie Minogue, Take That, Chaka Khan and Robbie Williams for almost 15 years; also working with Madonna. After, she moved into teaching via a STOTT Pilates certification. Isa-Welly is passionate about strength and movement and her classes are challenging and dynamic, full of energy and a great workout.
